“A path far from linearity, which frees us from the enslaving of security in order to reach the joy of experiencing our inner independence. Finding a simple and carefree view of our childlike being. Weightlessness and the power of gravity, profound happiness and serious crisis, the mentality of those who swim with the tide and the profound wisdom of a fool, are all natural features and arduous realizations of the journey.” /Batarita/
The Taste of the Irrational of Visions
REMIER – 9 November / 2022 Budapest, Museum of Fina Arts – “MÚZEUM+”
The work that is born and disappears in the moment, abandoning the fear of new things, focuses on the power of expression, it is passionate, true, confusing, as we can see in the works of El Greco.
The mixing of earthly and heavenly elements shining in gold and appearing in dull coldness is far from the realism of life.
Stretching the limits of possibility, the dancer’s body represent the ethereal figures of El Greco, whistling at the truths of anatomy, like a vision.
Abstract levitation.
Batarita’s solo was created for the El Greco Exhibition ordered by the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest in Hungary.

Basilisk, the treasure-hunted creature whose angry breath caused death and his gaze, was defeated if he was forced to see himself in a mirror.
If we consider a mirror of our shady side, the harmony and silence that lives within us comes to life and reminds us of our relationship with the Spirit as a shooting star.

Work-in-progress presentation: 4. April 2004. Mediawave Festival, Gyor
Duration: 42′
The subject ofthe piece is the “Experience of loosing” containing the taboos death and faith. Which one? It doesn’t matter which one, the essence is that something is lost forever. The audience could follow the way of the person changed by this happening, from loosing sense untill the harmony. The body led by the instincts and the lost soul becomes wild animal, floating and finally opens the way to the beauty in this world covered by cascade of inducements. How strong the soul can be in order to recover us.
There are moments in life when our whole life is gone in front of our eyes, from the most terrible moments to the most beautiful ones. The body goes dead, blood is boiling, all the things become senseless. And then once you leave. Brake and lack will stay but the soul becomes stronger and stronger and will be able to step to a new dimension, to accept and to become beautiful.
Performer, set and costume design: Batarita
Live music: Kerek István
